I often hear people say that they are more self-aware than they realize. This is a very common misconception. It is simply wrong. The truth is quite the opposite. If you’ve ever been in a situation where you have to make a decision and you know something about the subject, you’ve probably realized how self-aware you are. I think the idea of being self-aware is really quite simple.
The fact is if you have any kind of decision to make, you always need to be aware of what your thinking process is. If you don’t realize it, your subconscious is probably doing the judging for you.
One of the largest problems with society is the lack of self-awareness. We take for granted our actions and reactions and are completely unaware that we are doing them. When you are completely oblivious to your actions, you will always make the wrong decisions.

To do that, you have to be willing to consider the possibility that you might be subconsciously judging yourself. You might be subconsciously judging yourself because you are not aware of your own self-awareness.
You don’t have to be conscious of this, but you can be aware of it if you are willing to get your hands dirty. The more self-aware you are, the better you will be able to make yourself better. If you just sit around and watch TV or do things you wouldn’t normally do, that might be self-awareness, but if you do things you normally wouldn’t do, you might be doing it subconsciously.
When you see someone go down the road to the party you’re going to get a negative reaction if they go to the party. As a result, their attitude doesn’t really matter. You can take care of yourself. Even if you don’t feel like it, your attitude will always be positive.
